Well, the white car is history. We were in search of another vehicle. It is difficult to go places and do extra things with only one vehicle ... especially with the number of family members we have now. We are maxed out in our white van. This does not work well while using it to shuttle bus riders on Sundays.
Of course, God knew our situation. I was fully trusting in Him to somehow, someway provide for the need. I prayed many times and was looking for a vehicle while I would go out bus visiting. Nothing seemed to be the right thing, nothing seemed to fit. I continued to pray. I remember telling God that we needed something soon, yet I knew it would be on His time and I was resigned to that.
One Sunday morning, my dad, out of the blue, asked me if they were to get another van would I be interested in having their green one. I was surprised and down inside remembered what I had been praying.
I knew it was foolish to ask what Dad wanted for the van, but I asked anyway. He kind of avoided the question. He was going to give it to me for free. I won't tell you what I was thinking of paying for a vehicle, but FREE was far below what I was going to pay! Everything seemed to fit in place and after thought and prayer decided to take the green van.
The green van has been a good vehicle over the years. Dad and I both agreed it could probably die the day we started driving it ... it has high miles. For now, I am just glad and excited to see how God works and to see His timing in everything. He is an amazing God!
